This was my main rig in the last 2 years when HUMBLE was still in the design process. As the first production case was ready I rebuilt the whole system in one beautiful, glossy black enclosure making this the very first offical HUMBLE build!

The parts I am using heavily indicate what I consider SFF worthy and I can’t state this hard enough that this is as subjective as it gets.

So what do I consider SFF worthy? First of all CPUs that are not using more than 95 W total TDP. The room is tiny already and if someone is in the need of NASA performance then ITX is probably not the way to go. Secondly as gaming was a perspective but not heavy AAA titles on ultra 4K settings, a simple RX 570 ITX from Sapphire was more then adequate. It is only a 120 W TDP card thus it keeps cool and quiet even under load.

After these key copmponents I had to cool the CPU somehow and since in my opinion water cooling is not for SFF I went with the -go to- LP cooler from Noctua, the L9i. It is short and quiet while maintaining an i7 7700 making the build seem almost easy.

Even in a small amount of working space like this there is enough room for cables without heavily restricting airflow, so me choosing a modular SFX PSU for the build was more like a quality thing. As an electircal engineer I can not let the parts get bad quality current with ripple and noise! Corasir’s SF450 is an almost perfect tiny unit and has everything I need for a reasonable price.

With components like this, the finished build is silent and powerful even under heavy load. This glossy black little beast elegantly sits on the top of my desk replacing the bulky atx case I had before making a much more visually pleasing scene.

UPDATE: In the past few months my fiance got the machine and wanted something white. So I have replaced the glossy black panels with matte white ones and also put on a plexi bottom plate for that sweet RGB effect. Also complementing the build with some graffiti style vinyl wrap on the top plate giving this beast a really unique and fresh look!
